Science Inquiry Takes Flight

The practice of making and flying paper airplanes became not only acceptable, but also encouraged as the Intermediate classes applied the Science Inquiry to various paper airplane experiments.  The students worked in small groups, asking questions such as how many spins their airplanes would make, how far and fast their airplanes could fly and if particular designs worked better.  They used the Science Inquiry to test their questions, collect data and develop conclusions.  Who would have thought flying paper airplanes across the classroom could be learning fun?
