After taking an 8 year break from teaching, I am excited to join the Southwest Valley teaching staff at Corning Elementary. After graduating from UNI in 1996, I began teaching Special Education for the Omaha Public School District. During my 8 years in Omaha, I taught elementary resource at Marrs Elementary and Intermediate Self-Contained Behavior Disorders at Dundee Elementary. I returned to my hometown of Creston in 2004 and taught Special Education for Creston Schools for 2 years. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education with an emphasis in Moderate, Severe and Profound Mental Disabilities. I also obtained my Master's Degree in Behavioral Disorders from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I reside in Creston with my three children, 12 year old Ayden, and 8 year old twin daughters, Hannah and Hope. Outside of school, I run the "Mom Taxi", running my children to football, soccer, and dance activities!
